This session started as a gift, three daughters wanted to give their mom something for Mother's Day that wasn't a card or flowers that would wilt in a week, so they booked an afternoon at the San Jose Rose Garden instead. Grandpa came too, and so did the newest member of the family, a grandson who mostly seemed interested in everyone's shoulders.

We spent the afternoon between the rose beds, walking hand in hand, laughing at nothing in particular, one very good group hug that nobody wanted to end. There's a real warmth that shows up when it's three grown daughters and their mom together, not posed, just glad to be in the same place at the same time. The roses did the rest.
