EMMA & DENNIS
EMMA & DENNIS | A SAN FRANCISCO CITY HALL WEDDING
City Hall Wedding | San Francisco City Hall + Potrero Hill | San Francisco, California
Emma and Dennis met in university, moved to San Francisco from Canada, and decided to make it official right here at City Hall. No big production. Just a quick stop at the County Clerk's office, their families right there with them, and an afternoon in the city they now call home.
We started on the Grand Staircase with everyone together. We did a few classic family photos, then the ones where nobody was standing still anymore, and then it was just the two of them.
Then we slowed way down. We walked the staircase, took a lap through the hallways while the old sconces glowed, and gave Dennis a minute on his own in that burgundy suit, which honestly stole a few frames.
Emma by the window was one of my favorite stretches of the day. Soft light, that dried flower bouquet, and a smile she couldn't keep in. The same windows gave us the silhouettes, which needed almost nothing from me.
Then came the elevators, which are always a little ridiculous in the best way. Brass doors, a tiny space, one silly face and one proper kiss before the doors closed.
From there we left City Hall for Potrero Hill. It's their neighborhood, the streets they walk on date nights, and they wanted the skyline in their photos. So we found a spot with the whole city behind them and let them twirl, laugh, and just be two people who got married that morning.
City Hall is a gorgeous place to get married, but adding a place that's already yours makes the whole gallery feel like your story. If you're planning a San Francisco City Hall wedding and there's a corner of the city that means something to you two, bring it along. I'd love to plan your day around it.
